Dear Yoginis and Yogis,
What if you could meditate in a beautiful (and non-religious) space, after work, in central London, together with like-minded people from different walks of life, and share a cup of tea and a chat afterwards?
This is a vision that my partner Scott Robinson, the founder of Yogibanker, and I, are turning into a reality. We were lucky to find the beautiful space called 42 Acres Shoreditch, all thanks to Satish Kumar, who gave a lecture for the official opening of this amazing co-working and event venue.
The 6th of September 2017, a full moon day and filled with a distinct “post-summer holidays”-vibe, will mark our third Meditate and Mingle event. We’ll gather at 7 pm, sit together in meditation for 20 minutes (with guidance for beginners yet just enough silence for experienced meditators, which has proven to work really well) and then proceed to share a cup of tea and snacks.
For us, this is a dream come true.
Scott has found daily meditation to be vital in helping him thrive in his corporate office job, and feels passionate about making it available for people who are shy or uncomfortable walking into a yoga centre or a Buddhist temple.
For me as a yoga teacher who first discovered meditation in an ashram, meditating in a group is more powerful than when we just practice the two of us together at home – I feel more focused, and the fact that we are all meditating together, in a peaceful and positive environment, helps me go much deeper.
