Dear yoginis and yogis,

last December, I celebrated winter solstice and Christmas with Claudia Hubberten and Brent Mackay at La Serranía, the stunning retreat centre in Mallorca. They are repeating their Christmas retreat, and if you hurry you can grab their last room for a really special experience – more info here.
Meanwhile, I’ll be taking a training course in London at the end of December, deepening my skills in perinatal yoga with the Birthlight school, founded by the impressive Françoise Barbira Freedman, a very inspiring yogini, mother of 4 and Cambridge anthropologist.

On December 7th, I’ll offer the last 3-hour workshop of this year; and it will be an in-depth exploration of the simple but oh-so-effective sun salutation. The following day will mark the 7th anniversary of the completion of my first yoga teacher training course in Kerala. Back then, I would never have dared to imagine any of the discoveries and adventures which yoga has brought into my life.

I’ll never regret stepping out of my comfort zone, and my message to all of us for 2015 is this: take calculated risks, but please do dare to take a few risks. There is so much to gain from venturing out of the comfort zone.

Looking forward to practicing with you in 2015, wherever that may be possible.
